Outdoor Kitchens

Watch below as we build a custom outdoor kitchen in our shop! You can follow the process from the ground up. This unit is one we’re building for the 2008 Minneapolis Garden & Patio Show. We’ll be in booth 1562 along the back wall, make sure to stop by and see the finished product!

The framework begins with galvanized steel studs for strength and durability, as well as resistance to heat.

These two pictures show the HardiBoard backer that covers the framework. The material makes an excellent backer to adhere the stonework to, as well as adding rigidity and of course, it’s fireproof!

Here are a few more pictures of the process of applying the stone. The exterior finish we chose is a cultured stone, but your design can include anything from brick to tile, even stucco or real stone. Whatever you like, the experts at Countryside Concrete can make it happen! Notice how we’ve trimmed out the openings around the doors, drawers, and refrigerator with exotic teak! Watch and see when the stainless steel appliances and accessories arrive! And if you think that’s cool, just wait for the custom concrete countertops!

The stone is on!

Here are a couple more pictures with some of the stone applied to the front. The appliances should be here tomorrow, so make sure to take a look and see what that looks like!

Pictured below is the finished unit on display at the 2008 Minneapolis Home and Garden Show! We had a great time at the show, met a lot of cool people, and even sold the kitchen! It was a ton of work for all of us to make sure we had a top-notch product to show to the attendees, and based on all the feedback we got, we hit a homerun! Call us today to talk about your custom outdoor kitchen!
