What we had to start with here was a timber-framed “sandbox” that was being used as a beach volleyball court at Tricia’s house in Victoria.  She wanted to turn it into something more multi-functional, so a concrete sport surface was the obvious answer.  We moved the volleyball net posts to the new concrete pad location, as well as installed a post footing for a basketball hoop.  Now the kids have a place to ride their bikes and scooters as well as play basketball and volleyball.  She was very happy that the kids were able to put their names and handprints in the wet concrete.  It’s interesting also to note how much Tricia and her neighbors enjoyed watching the Countryside Concrete boys pour the patio with their shirts off!  It was pretty hot that day…..
