Today we sent Jake off to Raleigh, NC to the Concrete Countertop Institute for advanced training in installing fiber optics in our concrete countertops! The design possibilities are almost endless, and while the pictures below are just of small slabs with a few lights, they are only the beginning. The lights can be solid on, set to twinkle, or even change colors! When he gets back, we are planning to start work on a new bartop with fiber optic lighting, so make sure to check back often for updates!

Check out the picture below from our display at the 2008 Minneapolis Home and Garden show, where we displayed our custom outdoor kitchen. I don’t want to detract ANYTHING from the kitchen- it turned out great- but the purpose for this picture is to highlight the fiber optics in the concrete, so I cropped a bit of the kitchen away.
